Our DIY modified “NODs mount” for $40.00

Ok, so a “certain tactical company” (that I don’t want to name for liability reasons) is supposedly in the process of designing and marketing a so-called “Night Cap” that isn’t up for sale yet but I’m sure is suspected to be at some point in the future being that TigerSwan instructors we’re testing the prototypes for them. I’m just gonna go ahead and assume it’ll be selling for anywhere between $200-$350. Which is absurd. Here’s how we designed our own as a great alternative.

Step 1: Wrap head in Saran Wrap with as few wrinkles and air pockets as possible, then with a shit load of packaging tape. (Clearly you look like an idiot. Do it in the privacy of your own room)

Step 2: Pop that shit off your head. Now you got a shell.

Step 3: Fill it with plaster which can be found at your local Walmart/Craft store/Home improvement store

Step 4: Lay fiberglass over dried mold. We used 5ish layers.

Step 5: Let that shit dry, then pull it off- BAM. Mother fuckin fiberglass plate.

Step 6: Rivet that shit through the base-plate of your liking along with a fabric to sew on for extra security through a regular hat with a removed bill. (hint- grind the rivets down so the don’t poke into your forehead)

Step 7: Get your fabric, chin strap, and top tension strap sewn on with heavy duty thread.

Step 8: Paint that shit however you want. This one kinda matches my ghillie suit. We made 4 of them.

Any questions, please ask.
